Please pray for my Grannie (Dad's mother) who was just diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. It has been there for a while and we don't know how bad it is right now. That form of cancer is very fast moving and very aggresive so there is great concern and worry for her. Also for my sister who is pregnant with twins and is currently 34 weeks along. One is larger than the other and the dr. is hopeful she will be able to go one more week. Though he said he would be suprised if she does make it that long. Neither one is Catholic, both are COC, though my sister is very understanding of what I did and why. :signofcross:

Hi, everyone - I'm not sure if I have mentioned it before, but I'm in grad school and I'm graduating this year. Well, all the the recruiting/job search stuff is starting up right now and, given the delightful state of the economy, prayers would be much appreciated. I'm trying to be patient (really, really not my strong suit) and put my faith in God and praying that he will send me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

Update- My Grannie is still in the hospital and we don't when she will be getting out. If and when she does it will be to go home to die. We are trying to get everything set up with Hospice care to come help my Grandpa out. I am not sad about anything and I don't know why. I guess I knew what was going to happen and that she wasn't going to get better. On a much brighter not on Tuesday Sept. 21 my sister had the twins :extrahappy: Lily weighed 5 lbs. 1 oz. and Izzie weighed 5 lbs. 12 oz. All three are doing great. They will hopefully get to come home on Thursday.

I don't remember if I mentioned this or if anyone else remembers my joking about being a walking tabernacle because if felt like the body of Christ was getting caught in my throat. Well, I just coughed up something pretty gross. It's white and from the area that a recent sonogram revealed what they believed to be a cyst. I wonder if bread is getting caught somewhere in my throat though. I think I'd prefer it to be food related and not cancer. So that was why I mentioned this way back and finally got the courage to have it checked this way. The doctor wouldn't do anything and after the sonogram recommended me to go to an ENT. So, after all of these other major expenses in excess of $20,000 so far and counting, I still haven't gone to the ENT. I'd rather make sure my children are taken care of medically before doing this. It may be an over paranoid reaction in my opinion, but that's the way I feel. So please remember me in your prayers as I deal with getting the nerves to go to the ENT. After Jenny's cancer scare I'm just afraid to go there. However, I have heard that this is very treatable it it does turn out to be cancerous.

I'll be praying for you, Marcus - hopefully it's nothing serious and you'll have some peace of mind after you see the doctor. Just please, please, please go to the doctor soon. Speaking as one who has seen this disease first hand, if that's what it is, catching it early is crucial.

Prayers from me, too, Marcus. I am a pharyngeal cancer survivor (5 years so far), and I also strongly recommend that you see a doctor ASAP. I hope and pray that it's nothing serious, but either way, you need to find out. PM me if you have any questions about this or want advice and encouragement.

Update my Grannie (Reba) passed away Oct 6, 2009 at the age of 73. It has been that long since I have had time to be on here. Thank you all for your prayers.
